Advanced Design System (ADS) is an electronic
design automation software system produced by
Keysight EEsof EDA, a division of Keysight
Technologies. It provides an integrated design
environment to designers of RF electronic
products such as mobile phones, pagers,
wireless networks, satellite communications,
radar systems, and high-speed data links.

01 FEKO
FEKO is a computational
electromagnetics software product
developed by Altair Engineering. The
name is derived from the German
acronym "FEldberechnung für Körper
mit beliebiger Oberfläche", which can be
translated as "field calculations involving
bodies of arbitrary shape". It is a general
purpose 3D electromagnetic (EM)
simulator.
02 HFSS
HFSS is a commercial finite element
method solver for electromagnetic
structures from Ansys. The acronym
stands for high-frequency structure
simulator. HFSS is one of several
commercial tools used for antenna
design, and the design of complex
RF electronic circuit elements
including filters, transmission lines,
and packaging.

CST VS HFSS
HFSS is based on Finite Element Method (FEM) which is more
accurate for designing antennas while CST is based upon Finite
Integration in Technique (FIT) and is also popular among antenna
designers due to ease in simulations. However results of both the
simulators are not same becaue of different computational
techniques involved.

Domain ADS VS CST

The Time domain of HFSS is not as good as
CST. If you want to work with radar, time
response, CST is much better. CST also
has a built in Design Studio for simple
circuitry co-simulation and new signal type
feeding but HFSS cannot do all of these.
ADS is used for circuit co simulations where
active components are also involved. It can
be used for planar antennas as well and is
based upon MoM (Method of Moment).
