Grasslands are carbon sinks, they are incredible

dedicated and strong biomes that are less diverse
than its forest siblings. This biome is characterized as
a strong and dedicated system of climate carbon
systems.

Of all known animal and plant life can be found in

32% these areas. Like its forest siblings, grass biomes are
extremely diverse in life from cougars, lions to small
plants and animals.

The savannah leopard and the lion-
like cougars are facing extreme
losses in the wild because of
poaching. They are often the victims
of unscrupulous game and hunting
by international perpetrators for
coats out of their mange and their
skins. In international law, poaching
of these wildlife is extremely illegal.
The Cougar
The Grassland cougar is found
in savannahs in sub-Saharan
Africa. Extremely lean and cat-
like, these predators are at the
apex of the ecological food
chain. However, like the
savannah leopard, they are also
being poached to
endangerment. To this day
there are approximately
150,000 in the wild.
