Short Replies
made up of a subject and an auxiliary verb or modal.
A short answer is generally regarded as more polite
than just an abrupt "yes" or "no.”
Auxiliary verb / modal
YES or NO + Personal Pronoun + verb / some form of the
verb ‘to be’.

NOTICE:
⬗ The auxiliary verb in the short answer must correspond
to the auxiliary verb in the question.
⬗ However, You and I a little differently with different
subject, different personal pronoun.

⬗ We don’t have a personal pronoun, it is supposed to substitute the
subject, the phrase with corresponding pronoun. On the example
the pronoun to correspond the subject is she.
