    Rational formula for calculating run-off = CIA
    Q = Runoff in cubic metre
    A = Area in sq.m
    C = Co- efficient of run-off based on manual on norms and standards for environment clearance of
    large construction projects,Ministry of environment and Forests,Government of India.
    I = Intensity of rainfall in mm based on IMD Data
    Peak rainfall during one hour of rainfall (mm) = 85mm/hr
    Total Run- off : Roof Top
    Intensity of rainfall =85mm/hr
    Drainage area in sq.m = 74762.7 sq.m
    Coefficient of run-off =0.80
    Therefore , runoff =0.8 X 0.085 X 74762.7 = 5083.86 cubic metre/hr
    Total Run- off : Paved surface
    Intensity of rainfall =85mm/hr
    Drainage area in sq.m = 32003.5 cubic metre
    Coefficient of run-off =0.70
    Therefore , runoff =0.70 X 0.085 X 32003.5 = 1904.20 cubic metre/hr
