• He is a provincial youth coordinator in Sarangani Province.
• Known for the commendable advocacies for the people of Sarangani
Province.
• Conducted a forum for Disaster Risk Management for mostly youths.
• Lead an Emergency Action Plan within their community.
• He is the living proof of the quote of Dr. Rizal, “The youth is the hope of
our nation”.
Advocacies, Contributions and Focus
• As a youth trained in Disaster Risk Management this young man
encourages, trains, and advocate his fellow young people to help their
community in their utmost capabilities.
• He train his fellow youth to serve in the community and enhance their
mindset to play a vital role in community’s planning and execution of
action necessary to prevent and mitigate the damage caused by the
disasters and risks.
Advocacies, Contributions and Focus
• He motivated the participants to be a knowledgeable and disaster-oriented
individuals. He encourage to be eagerly involve in community as
responsible and resilient individual despite of adversity and diversity.
• His team not just advocate the youths but also eager to help their
community and perform some orientation and forums to increase the
community’s capacity to fight various disaster. And propose Emergency
Action Plans for a more standardized capability.

• “Without hope, there will be no heroes,” he says. “But hope should be coupled by safe and
conducive youth-friendly programs and platforms. Our leaders should do their best in
helping the youth translate their hope into real outcomes — this is where heroes are born.”

• Michael is a really good mentor that he just not teach, instruct but also can
bring out the best of potential even among the young leaders he’s
mentoring.
• He started working for Ideas Positive (IP) a youth program for health and
also worked as Assistant Program Manager of Heads Up PH a mental
health program focused in building mentally healthy communities. And
current Director for Communications and Partnership at Positive Youth
Development Network.
Advocacies, Contributions and Focus
• Michael team managed to gather over 200,000 youth leader and over 2.4 million
nationwide. He also managed to unite 10 rival universities and championed the
HIV prevention programs and launched the biggest HIV movement in the Visayas.
• Beside his great achievement he is really happy that the local and international
government has finally recognized and support his advocacies.
• For Michael, achieving his goal will not be a big success without the support of the
youths that look forward for better future. He builds hope and dreams for young
people who have fallen deep and give them a sense of light in their life.
