INTRODUCTION:
 GSVA is the main measure of economic performance which
measures a sectors contribution to the total economy.
 It is defined as the value of goods and services produced less
intermediate consumption.
 GSVA=GSDP+SP-TP
 Where SP=subsidies on products ,TP= Taxes on products
 In calculating GSVA of an economy we mainly consider the
contribution of primary ,secondary and tertiary sector.
OBJECTIVES

 To analyze sectorial contribution in GSVA of

Odisha.
 To know the real growth in GSVA from 2013-
2019.
 To make a comparison of sectorial share of
value added by Odisha and India(2018-19).
ANALYSIS

 Primary sector : Agricultural sector contributes

18.9% to the gross state value added in 2018-19.
 Industrial sector: The high rate of growth was
largely driven by the industry sector . In 2018-19
it contributes 39.45% to the state gross value
added.
 Service sector: this sector holds 41.62 % shares
in the states GVA continue to been important
contributor to the economy.

CONCLUSION

 Odisha is on the path of growth despite being

a small state in size prone to calamities , it
has been showing faster growth track.
 The rate of growth has largely been driven by
the industry sector.
