 New Media Tower Building

• RIZKI :
• New Media Tower Building, which is the newest building of Multimedia Nusantara
University, is designed as an energy-efficient building by applying various
technologies that make it possible to save energy by utilizing natural air as much as
possible without reducing comfort.
• WISNU :
• The New Media Tower building is a building that carries the concept of energy
saving fully applied by controlling heat and sunlight entering the room and also
minimizing the use of air conditioning.

• RIZKI:
• Some ways include controlling heat using a double skin facade consisting of a wall
layer and a layer of aluminum plate with small holes as an outer layer.
 RIZKI :
• The New Media Tower building also has many open spaces that use natural air ventilation. Thus
the room becomes not hot so that the use of AC can be reduced. With this reduction, New Media
Tower can reduce electricity consumption by up to 47%.

• WISNU:
• The use of double skin technology, which is made of perforated aluminum plate, makes it
possible to control the intensity of light and heat of the sun that enters the room so that the
room is cold and bright enough.
• RIZKI :
• As a result, the use of air conditioners can be reduced so that it can save electricity. As it is
known that air conditioning consumes the largest amount of electrical energy in each
building.

• WISNU :
• The holes also function for air circulation so that building corridors do not need to use
refrigeration but are still quite comfortable. The lower floor used as a canteen and student
meeting area is made with an open concept using natural air.
• WISNU :
• In addition, this building also maximizes water conservation by recycling wastewater for reuse
and capturing rainwater so it is not wasted

• RIZKI :
• Indeed, with buildings that use aluminum layers in the form of holes, it is certain that rain
water will come in, making the sides of the corridor wet. However, this is a normal thing, and
even drains have been made for careful disposal.
