USAGE OF THE WORDS

‘AS’ AND ‘LIKE’

Why knowing the difference between the
two is Important?
■ Well, As and Like are used interchangeably by English Learners
which is totally incorrect; the sentences may seem correct when
using them synonymously, however grammatically there are not.

to choose between As and Like.

■Like can also be used to compare things but only when they are
similar!
■Examples:

–My mobile phone is like a friend to me.

■Using ‘Like’ to compare things with the verbs of the senses.
