This study examines the relationship between the number of hours students spend on social media and their academic performance as measured by their semester grade point average. Survey data was collected from 30 students and analyzed to determine the correlation between social media usage and grades, test if any relationship was significant, and identify a regression model if needed. The results of the statistical analysis showed that there is no significant relationship between the two variables and that the number of hours spent on social media does not affect student grades.

main purpose of identifying if there is a relationship between the number of hours spent of the students in using social media and their performance in school with the specific general average in the First Semester. Source of Data • Survey Questionnaire answered by 30 ABM Students of Mt. Makiling Objectives • To know the correlation cofficient of the variables • To test if there is a significant relationship of the two variables and; • To find it’s regression if needed. Method of Gathering Data
The researchers were able to find out
the answer to the questions made at the start of the study by conducting Cross-sectional Descriptive Method with Simple Random Sampling Design. Because it used survey questionnaires and graphs. Tabular and Graphical Presentation of Data Statistical Result Conclusions It was evident through the data gathered, given the statistical results, that there is no significant relation between the two variables. At the end of the study the researchers were able to formulate conclusions such as the number of hours spent does not affect the grades of the students.
