MORAL AND SOCIAL VALUES A
PROBLEM TO THE STATE?

The affirmation and promotion of moral and spiritual well-

being especially among the youth of this country is definitely
not only relevant but especially significant.
This is not only because the said youth is the hope of the
future of the Philippines but also because young people are
the bearers of the moral and spiritual torch for entrustment
to the filipino generations after them.
What will happen if the youth today become immoral and
impious? Poor Philippines.

• Hospitality
• Humility
• Courage
• Honesty
• Godliness
• Hardworking

DETERIORATING
MORALITY AMONG
FILIPINOS
• What is considered a taboo behavior somewhat becomes
okay today, for example pre-marital sex, artificial
contraceptives etc.
• There is the much favored gambling culture
• The unending drug business in many kinds and forms
• There is even the pending legislations on divorce and
same sex marriage
• The people become too liberated that we do not consider
what’s moral or immoral anymore
• Villegas a catholic bishop expressed his
disappointment over what he has been
reading and hearing in the country’s local
and international news, which he says
reflect the slow erosion of filipino values.
• Cherished filipino values makadiyos,
makatao, makabayan are slowly eroding
replaced by an open license for cuss
words, orchestered lies and vulgarity.
• He is afraid the youth will catch and
embrace theses twisted values and carry
these errors to the next genration.
