“THE FIRST IMPRESSION”
• First impression is very important for any person. It decides the entire perspective of an
individual and the future conversation with that individual.

• It is usually said that the first instinct about any individual is always perfect as it comes
from your inner mind and one should always believe it as it lasts forever.

• Once a person fits an impression of any individual , it is very tough to amend it, it takes
approximately 7-8 years for an individual to change their impression for anybody.
• A person needs to groom himself to be updated with the world and make himself
outstanding in front of the world.
• A person puts forward two kinds of impression which are :
• 1. Good impression- one that feels pleasant to the eye, proper dressing, conservative
behavior, polite talks etc.
• 2. Bad impression – Bad dressing, Showcasing bad manners, speaking affluently, being
rude etc.
• First impression also depends on how a person wishes to take forward any kind of
conversation, the way he talks creates an impression about him in front of every one.
• When being in a corporate environment:

• A person being well dressed in a formal wear clean shaved , behaving gently would be more
appreciated than a person with a dressing of denim or t-shirts etc.
• How can a person form their impression, there are three ways to it i.e. 55% is from the visual
impression, 35% from the vocal and 7% verbal.
• With this we can clearly understand that it is very important how are we presenting ourselves
and what are we speaking and in what tone.

aspect of life.

• When one implements this technique of visualization in their life then one can achieve all the goals set for the life.

• The concept of visualization is a mental activity that imagines to make dreams and goals come true.

• Every man has desires in his life to achieve various goals, visualization of such dreams helps to keep a man
motivated and strive hard to chase its dreams.
VISUALIZATION FOR SUCCESS

• Reality is something a man creates- Everything around you is because you think so, that is what is a “Reality” of life.

• If it can be created once, than it can be again recreated certainly.

• Creation process starts with your thoughts which your mind subconsciously thinks and you put your thoughts into
actions so you can achieve results.

• To visualize your success you need to relax your mind and thoughts which means when your body relaxes and your
mind is calm, your brain enters into subconscious mind re script our thoughts.
MAGIC OF VOICE AND ACCENT

• Voice and accent now is considered to be a very important feature to stand globally and create your mark.

• Voice and accent of an individual shows the attitude an individual carries along with itself which determines a lot of
things about his life and culture, values etc.

• A person needs to be very thoughtful of the words he make use of , as these would be used for or against him in any of
the future situations.

• Even in companies employees are guided and sessions are conducted over the use of voice and accent, as it plays a
vital role in any industry.
MAGIC OF VOICE AND ACCENT

• This training program is designed in companies specially for employees to work on their voice and accent, a
very important soft skills training. It will help them to neutralize elements of their speech, overcome Mother
Tongue Influence(MTI) elements, and speak with a more global accent.

• Almost all companies have outsourced their processes, hence they need candidates who could have a hold over
his accent and voice. The correct use of accent is very necessary otherwise each statement would have a different
meaning when spoke in different accents.

• All the companies choose its candidates on the basis of a short interview examining his accent, if that is
acceptable to be fit in their company’s culture.

THE ONE RULE TO ACHIEVING WORK-LIFE BALANCE

• The articles tells us on how a person can achieve work life balance. There is no particular rule for it.

• The only truth that matters here is the quality of people in your life which decides the balance of your life.

• If our life only had “Enter only ” door, we would be more selective about people we allow in our life. As than
those would be in our lives forever and we would be having to adjust our lives according to these people.

• It is important for a person to understand what is the role and importance of people who live in our lives.
• Neuroscientist Dr. Daniel Amen says, “Significant input that is received in your brain triggers neural activity
that cannot simply be erased.” In other words, their fingerprints are all over your brain.
• You never really forget a person or remove them from our mind, its just you never remember them over a
period of time.
• You can train your mind to be a doorman, by not training your mind about your values, thoughts etc which in
turn would make a decision for you if the mind needs to be open or closed for any person.
• Again the question of people who already are in your mind, if those are toxic, how would you remove such
people from your mind- two ways to it First is “Benign Neglect.” & second is “Homeopathic Doses.” Both
mean to dis entagle yourself from such people either by directly neglecting them or slowly getting away from
them and any conversation with them.
3 HABITS OF TRUE LEADERS

• A leader is a person who creates a vision for the entire group with him. A leader needs to be
passionate and thoughtful of its actions. A leader creates and environment of stability and
steps forward to accept any challenge that comes its way.

• A leader needs to perform various roles such as change management, effective decision
making, systematic thinking, overcoming challenges etc.

• A leader needs to perform in every stage of life or work balancing the both.
• The three habits which can be seen in a leader are :

1. Make it a habit to tell yourself that you're in control of your own life. True leaders generally don't make excuses and are wise
enough to take responsibility for their actions -- and reactions. Acknowledging complete responsibility can give you power,
and it can also lead to feeling a greater degree of control over your emotions.

2.   Remember that one of your most valuable assets is your reputation, and you can protect it by consistently practicing honesty
both in work and in life.

3. In business, some people are taught to look out for themselves first, so it's important to invest in generosity. Aim to do one
selfless thing every day -- something for which you don't expect anything in return.

• Though the company was eliminating the jobs due to automation of routine tasks , but
they were going to provide retirement offers to the employees.

THE 1 THING YOU MUST DO WHEN STRESS AT
WORK TAKES ITS TOLL
• Being kinder to yourself can make a big difference
• Compassion is an emotional response to another's pain or suffering involving a desire to
help. Compassion is often confused with a closely related term, empathy. While empathy
is feeling and understanding another's emotions, compassion also involves taking action
• compassionate acts can and should come from others, they can and should also come
from yourself. You are more likely to invite compassion from others if you are caring and
kind to yourself. And the inverse is true: if you reject compassion from yourself, you're
likely to reject it from others as well.
• Showing yourself caring and kindness doesn't just feel good. It can literally put you on a
path to wellness
• People who demonstrate self-compassion feel more socially connected, have greater
emotional intelligence, feel happier, hold a greater sense of self-worth, experience
healthier relationships, and have higher levels of life satisfaction
• In the immortal words of author Ian Maclaren, "Be kind, for everyone you meet is
fighting a hard battle." And that includes to yourself as well.
WHATSAPP KNOWS A LOT ABOUT YOU, HERE’S HOW TO FIND OUT WHAT DATA IT HAS
COLLECTED FROM YOU

every individual.

the users as well.

• This became a rule from when GDPR came into the picture, companies are obliged to
provide data with details of the end users.
• This mechanism allows the users know exactly what data is tracked by whatsapp, the data
won’t be available to them immediately it takes a time of 3 days for the report to the
available for the users.

• The report only includes Whatsapp account information and its settings, no messages are
included in it.

• Whatsapp also allows to share the report through other apps and read it.

• Berger operates in Russia through a step-down subsidiary which has an impairment loss to the tune of
over ?28 crore, recognised in Q4 of FY19
• In a stock market notification later in the day, Berger said, “At its meeting held on August 5, the Board

TELEGRAM USERS CAN NOW SEND SILENT
MESSAGES, ANIMATED EMOJIS
• Private instant messaging and voice over IP service Telegram has rolled out updates that bring
the ability to send silent messages and animated emojis for the users.
• The ability to send messages silently essentially means if the users want to message to someone
but don't want their device to make a sound, they can now choose to send without sound
• This means if the person receiving the message would just get a notification, but the app would
not make a sound
• Just press and hold the send button to choose the send without sound option," GSMArena
reported on Saturday.
• This means if the person receiving the message is in a meeting or is asleep would just get
a notification on their display, but the app would not make a sound.
• Another awesome new feature is video thumbnails and timestamps. When you scrub
through a video, it will show a thumbnail so you know where you are in the video. Also,
if you add a timestamp to a message with a video then clicking that timestamp will take
you to that exact spot in the linked video," the report added.
• The new update also brings animated emoji that would make certain emojis display in an
animated version every time they are posted in the Telegram chat.
5 BEST INVESTMENT OPTIONS TO ATTAIN
YOUR SHORT-TERM FINANCIAL GOALS
• Investing for short-term financial goals requires different investment strategies than those required for attaining long-term financial goals. Short-term investments
of up to three years need greater emphasis on capital protection than generating higher returns, given that shorter investment horizons have lesser time to recover
losses from market corrections (if any). Let’s look at five short-term investment options with higher capital protection, liquidity and income certainty features.
• Bank Fixed Deposit- Bank fixed deposits (FDs) guarantee principal repayment and interest income at booked rate of interest, regardless of any change in card rate
during the tenure. At present, small finance banks offer highest FD rates of up to 9% p.a. The highest interest rate offered by public sector banks and private sector
banks can go up to 7.25% p.a. and 8.50% p.a., respectively. Senior citizens get concessional rate, which can be up to 0.75% above these interest rates depending on
the banks.
• Corporate/Company Fixed Deposit-Corporate/Company FDs are issued by HFCs, NBFCs and other financial institutions. While their interest rates are usually
1% higher than average bank FDs, they are unsecured deposits with no deposit insurance cover as in the case of bank FDs. However, one can get a rough idea
about their safety by referring to credit ratings assigned by different credit rating agencies. These credit rating agencies rank corporate/company FDs on the basis
of the issuer’s capacity to service interest and principal component. The higher the credit rating, the safer is the instrument.
• Recurring Deposit-Recurring Deposit (RD) is just a variant of fixed deposit where you can deposit fixed amount at regular monthly intervals for a fixed tenure.
Most banks offer same interest rates on RDs as on their FDs for similar tenure. Like bank FDs, senior citizens get concessional rates on RDs above these interest
rates depending on the bank. With provisions for automatic deduction of your monthly RD instalments from your savings bank account, it can assist in inculcating
financial discipline and ensure regular investing for those with regular investible surpluses.
• High Yield Savings Account-While savings accounts are generally associated with low rate of
interest ranging between 3% and 4% p.a., some small finance banks and private banks have started
offering higher interest rate on their saving accounts. Currently, interest rates of saving accounts can
go up to 7.25% p.a. Their higher interest rate, high liquidity and deposit insurance cover from the
DICGC makes them a prudent option for low risk investors for parking surplus and emergency fund.
• Debt Funds-Short-term debt funds like liquid, low duration, ultra-short duration and short duration
funds have shorter maturity profiles. Their shorter maturity period makes them less susceptible to
interest rate risk. Hence, these funds have higher capital protection feature as compared to longer
maturity profiles.
WHATSAPP BANNING USERS USING THIRD-PARTY APP VERSIONS

• The users of whatsapp get attracted towards new versions that come up in the market, which are not by the
official development team, but by the third parties.

• Whatsapp is taking steps to put a control on such third parties app, as using such apps can be a danger to
security of data of users in future.

• The news that flashed was “

Complying to users and platform security concerns, Facebook-owned messaging app WhatsApp is banning
accounts of users who have been using modified versions of the app like WhatsApp Plus and GB WhatsApp”
• It was a good initiative by whatsapp that they were banning the accounts, which would enable the users to use only the official
app.

• The reason behind this was they cannot validate the security practices of these altered versions of whatsapp.

• The users account were not permanently banned as they were advice to backup their chats and then switch to the official app.

• The users were informed with a message on their accounts that the account is temporarily banned and the users were asked to
download the official app instead of other versions such as WhatsApp Plus and GB WhatsApp to continue use of whatsapp.
