secondary data
– Data Analysis should be done on MS Excel or
SPSS

Expected Roles Amity School of Business

Supervisor: To advise on:


• The topic, synopsis and work schedule of NTCC and its resources
• To assist the student in identifying problems/issues and
suggest/agree on specific action to address the risk assessment,
where appropriate
• Methodologies, Referencing / plagiarism
• Ethical practice and Information sources, including AUUP material,
to support planning
• Structure and presentation of NTCC
• To monitor and discuss progress of NTCC
• To offer feedback on partial versions of NTCC
• To maintain regular supervisory contact
• To contact any student who fails to attend supervisory sessions
Expected Roles Amity School of Business

Student
a) Commit to a schedule of meetings, in order to ensure that the agreed schedule is
adhered to and deadlines met
b) Use supervisory time allocated effectively
c) Manage tutorial / gap lectures/ briefing sessions effectively by preparing for
same in advance
d) Keep appointments which have been arranged
e) To send regularly Weekly Progress Report (WPR) to Faculty guide
f) Maintain a record of supervisory meetings, in the format prescribed by the
university
g) Act responsibly and professionally during any kind of interaction with the host
organization
h) Make use of AUUP guidance and documentation to plan and monitor progress of
the NTCC
i) Recognize ethical responsibilities and understand the regulations with regard to
plagiarism

• Identify broad area, read general articles/ research papers to
find current trends, issues & keywords
• Find specific articles on identified issue using keywords–
identify Gaps and state Research Problem/Hypotheses
• Sources – Research papers/ articles, trade magazines,
newspapers, theses, working papers
– To be cited/ referenced using APA referencing style
• For Industry Review
– Present growth and Future Projections
– Current issues – PESTLE analysis for Industry
– If specific company – SWOT Analysis

Acknowledgement, Table of Contents
 Introduction to the study
 Literature Review
 Research Gaps – questions, objectives & hypotheses
 Research Methodology and Tools Used
 Data Analysis
 Discussion of results/ Managerial Implications
 Discussion on future scope of research & current limitations
 References (APA style) & Annexure (questionnaire, supporting
material etc.)
