Question 1:
Do you think Ingrid should have given Giovanni a pay rise? Why/Why not?

Answer: Yes, Ingrid should give Giovanni a pay rise as he deserves it.
- He had achieved all of the goals set out in his last annual review and he exceeded expectations in relation to some criteria.
- He moved most of the induction processes online, this initiative had been well received and used by all new employees at the bank.
His performance was outstanding hence he deserves the pay rise as he contributed a lot towards the bank.

Question 3:
What do you think Ingrid should do to ensure Giovanni remains happy in his current role and stays with the company into the next few years.

Answer: Increase pay little bit more instead of 10% rise which Ingrid gave earlier.
The reason we shouldn’t be giving Giovanni what he wants is because, he is not a team player. In the report that Liz made she commented that an employee complained that she wasn’t being supported by Giovanni. In short, Goivanni is good at his work but his not a team player
.
-To make him help and stay in the company, instead of giving him promotion, we can give him incentives, such as monthly bonus or maybe trip to wherever he wants funded by the company.
