 What is the swot matrix?

• The SWOT analysis is a tool that allows to form a picture of the

current situation of the object of study ( person,company or
organization, etc). Thus allowing to obtain an accurate diagnosis
that allowa, based on this, to make decisions in accordance with
the objectives and policies formulated.
 STRENGTHS

• They are the special capabilities that the company has, and that
allowa it to have a privileged position against the competition.
• Resources that are controlled, capacities and abilities that are
possessed, activities that are developed positively.
 OPPORTUNITIES

• Are those factors that are positive, favorable, exploitable, thar

must be discovered in the environment in wich the company
operates, and that allow obtaining competitive advantage.
 WEAKNESSES

• Are those fators that cause an unfavorable position in the face of

the competition, resources that are lacking, skills that are not
possessed, activities that are not developed positively
 Threats

• Are those situation that come from the environment and that can
even threaten the permanence of the organization.
 BENEFITS:

• Facilitates understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the

organization.
• Encourage the development of strategic thinking.
• It helps to clarify and summarize the main issues and opportunities
of the company.
 LIMITATIONS

• There are no weighting factors
