INTRODUCTION
• About 50% of total Population of India depends on Agriculture.

• Agriculture contributes a huge amount to the country .

• It is estimated that 30-40% of crops are destroyed annually due to

attacks by wild animals in India.

• Elephants, pigs, boars and deer are the most common perpetrators of

the destruction.
PROBLEM STATEMENT

Animals Destroying crop fields

Fire in Crop Fields

MQ-2 GAS SENSOR

Laser Module
BUZZER
• Supply voltage: 3.4-4.4V * Operation temperature: -40°C~85°C

• Low power consumption * Frequency: Quad-band 850/900/1800/1900MHz

• Control via AT commands (3GPP TS 27.007, 27.005 and SIMCOM enhanced AT Commands)
SOFTWARE

• Arduino IDE software

• Cross platform application
• It supports C and C++ languages using
special rules of code structuring
• Code can easily uploaded.
WORKING MODEL
WORKING PRINCIPLE
• The Farm is surrounded by laser poles on all sides.
• This laser light will be received by the respective Ldr sensors
• The Arduino Uno is used for controlling the whole system
• If any animals try to enter the farm ,it causes interruption in the receiving of
laser light by the ldr sensor.
• In case if fire occurs, the Smoke sensor detects the smoke.
• The ldr sensor and Smoke sensor sends the signal to Arduino to take
necessary steps.
• Then the Arduino turns the buzzer and leds ON and sends signal to GSM
• Finally the GSM sends and alerting message.
MODEL OUTPUT

Interruption in laser light reception by ldr sensor GSM Alerting about Animals entry to the Farm
Smoke detection by MQ-2 Gas Sensor GSM sending Fire Alert
The European Commission is funding a trial to see if a laser can scare
rats and other rodents from crops in order to eliminate harmful
poisons. (Image credit: BBC)
ADVANTAGES
• No man power is required.
• Arduino is used to connect all the devices in its GPIO pins and stores
the data in it.
• Sensor technology is used in emergency Response.
• By providing security using modern techniques.
• Low cost maintainence.
• Automatic operation.
•  No Danger to Animals
APPLICATIONS
• Main application is it is used to protect farm
• Can also be used for security system for houses
• It is can also be used for fruit/ vegetable Gardens
• It can also be used as fire alerting system.
CONCLUSION
• This project will help farmers in protecting their orchards and fields
from animals and fire and save them from significant financial losses
• And will save them from the unproductive efforts that they endure for
the production of their fields.
• This will aslo help them from achieving better crop yields thus leading
to their economic well being.
