The elicitation activities will focus on the below mentioned user classes:

3. User Interface Analysis
• USER CLASSES

1. IT Staff : Developers (Front end and Backend), 1st line technical support

2. Business Analyst : They will conduct research and analysis in order to provide solutions to the company,
They straddle the line between IT and Business in order bridge the gap.

3. Systems Administrator : Responsible for day to day activities in the office , They organize, install, and
support an organization's computer systems including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks
(WANs), network segments, intranets, and other day communication systems
3. User Interface Analysis
• INFORMATION NEEDED

1. The profile of the users who will interact with website, i.e. understanding skills and knowledge, type of user
based on the profile to get better understanding of how to develop the interface – carried out by business
analyst

2. The design of the interface like specifying action sequences of tasks and subtasks also known as user
scenario. It serves as foundation for the implementation phase. – carried out by IT staff

3. The implementation phase will begin with the creation of a prototype that enables user scenarios evaluation.

4. The last phase is testing, and it should be done in such a way that it should be able to perform the tasks
correctly. It should achieve all user requirements.
3. User Interface Analysis
• LIMITATIONS/RISKS

1. It takes up considerable amount of computer memory to make it more user friendly as a result can be
slow on older machines.

2. It needs more processing power compared to other interface types.

3. It takes a lot of time to design and develop a good user interface( which is easily understandable by the
user).

4. Might involve extra cost on hardware if we want nice looking UI.
