INTRODUCTION

karnataka is a state in south western region of


india.It was formed on 1st november 1956 with the passage
of the states Reorganisation Act. Originally known as the
state of the Mysore, it was renamed karnataka in 1973.

It was constituted under sec.5 of karnataka industrial


area development Act, (KIAD ACT) -1966
ACHIVEMENTS OF KIADB
Over 50 years of experience in Industrial Promotion.
Developed over 167 industrial estates and 473 single
unit complexes.
TMTP-Developed integrated Machine Tool park of
500acres
Created over 1.5 million job oppurtunities
The largest Land Bank of 22,931-26acres
VISION & MISSION
Too build a prosperous karnataka through inclusive,
sustainable and balanced industrial development
thereby creating a large employement oppurtunities

 To make karnataka has preferred Destination for


investment with special focus on manufacturing sector
To provide oppurtunities across the state for industrial
Development and enable scope for large scale local
employement through private sector
To develop human capital to meet the needs of industry

Promote rapid and orderly development of industries
in the state.

Assist to implement of policies of Government within


the Preview of KIAD ACT

Facilitate in establishing infra Structure projects

Functions on “ No Profit-No Loss” basis


FUNCTIONS
Acquire Land and form industrial areas in the state.

Provide basic infrastructures in the industrial areas.

Acquire land for Single Unit Complexes.

 Acquire Land for Government agencies for their


schemes and infrastructure projects
