Conceptualize time as a resource to be managed
like any other

Time management task/activity timetable

• Fit your tasks into the timetable


• If you teach put the lessons mid morning – but
never the first lesson, not after break and after
lunch. These are times when you must be
vigilant about both your teachers and students
getting to class on time.
• Make room to meet parents first thing in the
morning or last thing at the end of the day.
Task 1
• Make your timetable for a week.
• On it schedule time for your lessons and time for
substitution of lessons for missing teachers.
• Put in a lesson per and with teachers - to go
through their lesson plans and schemes follow up

Exercise books order as per student of each and every class from class teachers who should

Plan for new textboooks and lab supplies; identify;get budget approval and accordingly get

Mid March Check each and every teachers syllabus coverage confirming throu' students books
Mid March AFEW competition entries to be sent
Prepare for end term exam -checking papers; ensuring adequate coverage of syllabus;
March preparing exam tt; Report cards softcopies
March Vision Planning at local school level
Final remedial programmes to be identified for preparation of year end - parents aware of

March Lesson and subject allocation - studying teachers and class preformance per subject per class
Finalise allocation with teachers to ensure that upper secondary teacher use time from May

Detailed c hecking of exercise books - this term main target for checking councilling students
May on what they need to do to complete the year successfully.
Look into targets Yr 1 to 4 teachers are using; get them to revise their Report Cards
May accordingly.
Plan for two months programme for pupils from Yr 1 to 4 who fall in below average
achievers. Thus total discussion on each and every pupil in those classes. Remedial
May to july programme to start immediately with full awareness and support of parents.
Planning according to Vision Plan next year targets ie.Reading Level require Year 1 tr to take
May her pupils to level 8 minimum
May/June Final preparation for year 6 SAT and doing them with at least a months notice to parents
Teachers teaching board exam classes to prepare their detailed schemes according to lesson
May/June allocation done as have that many free lesson. (teaching about 7 lessons/week)
Send out Result slips for SAT. Plan and execute resit of SAT by students who did not achieve
June above 60% - paperwise
June Allocating lessons to anyone whose syllabus is incomplete or has not covered it adequately
June Check exam papers for standard and accuracy; prepare timetable for exams.
June Produce stationery list for exams; hand in list for section stationery requirements.
Next years timetable ready and checked by all sections to ensure that all sections agreeble
July to the new tt.
July Soft copies of Report Cards to be prepared two weeks in advance of exams.
Comments to be handed in about each and every child and for below average achievers to be

Ps: teachers given their own "Dates to Meet" for all that has to be handed in to the HOS. Exercise books
checking schedules also given to teachers.
