HACHIKO
Summary of the chapter

This story is about a close relationship between the master (Dr Ueno) and
his faithful dog (Hachiko). Dr Ueno is a professor at Tokyo Imperial
University. Hachiko accompanies his master to the Shibuya train station
everyday and he spends the day waiting for Dr Ueno to come back. In the
meantime, local shopkeepers and station workers keep an eye on him and
often give him treats. This continued for several years. One day Dr Ueno
did not return home from work. Suddenly on his way back home he died.
The loyal dog Hachiko continues to wait for his owner’s return.
