Agricultural marketing incorporates all exercises which
enhance value to agricultural products as they move from
rural areas of agricultural production to ultimate urban
areas for consumption. A successful and productive
marketing system is required in order to ensure fair returns
to farmers but unfortunately little consideration is paid to
this sector across.
In this research, an effort has been made to design and
implement a Farm product and marketing system for farmers
to showcase their agricultural products after a successful
harvest season. Most times this farmers’ mistake marketing
efficiency with marketing margins and physical losses and
state of market competition. Further, the research also covers
major areas to identify major agricultural marketing
problems with their possible solutions using modern web
technology.
Problem

 New government mandates and regulations. Stability,
development and functions in global financial markets.
Agricultural marketing continues to be in a bad shape in rural
India.

 In the absence of sound marketing facilities, the farmers must


depend upon local traders and middleman for the disposal of
their farm produce which is sold at throw-away price.

 Storage facilities in the rural areas are either totally absent or


grossly inadequate.

 Under such conditions the farmers are compelled to sell their


produce immediately after the harvest at the prevailing market
prices which are bound to be low.
OBJECTIVES !!
 To design and implement a Farm Product Marketing system to aid
farmers in rural areas have a proper platform to promote their farm
product.

 Enhance link between Farmers and end product users in urban


areas, where farmer products meant for market can easily be
disposed, thus providing income for the farmer and improve farm
productivity.

 Ease the distribution of farm products across the country through


technology.

 This provides monthly analysis of crop prices in different markets


to show price trends, enabling farmers to make informed decisions
on what to plant when, how to price their produce and the available
markets.
 
 Due to COVID pandemic farmers can’t travel
different cities for production of their crops, so
using this innovative site allows for good
farmer, retailer and supplier communication
which will restrict city to city travel.

 The farmers may also submit their grievances


and complaints to respective dealers or
authorities using their farmer login on a separate
complaints page and authorities will get access
to that page regularly using their login so that
they could provide the solutions.

 This includes all business activities designed to


plan, price, promote and distribute want
satisfying goods and services to household
consumers and industrial users.

 Separate login areas with appropriated functionality for


farmers, administrators and dealers/retailers.
 A separate page where only farmers can post complaints &
only assigned administrators can read and edit this page.
 Pages where dealers & retailers may post their ads and
notifications.
 Farmers are notified of these notifications via SMS whenever
new ads are published.
 An effective GUI so that rural people may easily use the
services.
 Can be over for multiple villages to communicate and deal
with each other.
Methodology
 Account Generation: It includes the creation of account, in which basic information of user, type of user, whether he is farmer,
agent or Gov. Officer is submitted. Through this module, user gets the Unique ID which serves as the identity of user.

 Marketing: It includes Pricing, Billing and the Fund Transfer. Pricing will show the farmer at what price his commodity has
been sold. Billing will create the bill after getting request from farmer for bill creation. Created bill will be displayed on the
page. Bill will consist of unit price rate, total bill amount, commission of agent, vehicle fare, other expenditure, etc. Farmer can
download or print the bill for future reference. Using fund transfer, Agent can transfer the invoice amount to farmers account
and farmer can check whether amount has been transferred or not. One should be log in for using this facility.

 Market Information: Farmer can see the market information of nearby market. This will consist of selling rates of different
product, today’s turnover, product-wise details like quantity, grading, selling cost, etc. It will give commodity-wise, market-wise
daily report, commodity wise price during last week, community transaction below MSP(maximum sale price), date wise prices
for specified community. Farmer can also search for specific product in particular duration of specific market.

 SMS: Serves as an Alternate to get the market information to the farmers through mobile. User can get message related to
specific commodity by sending the keyword to the service number.

 E-Learning: Includes Documentation, Videos and Audios working as a helpdesk. It will educate farmers about new trends and
techniques for farming as well as notice for different workshops that will be conducted. User can view as well as download the
content.

Through this project farmers ensure greater profitability.

This service boosts business communication and brings


transparency in the system.

Can be over for multiple villages to communicate and deal


with each other.

Farming tips is given to farmer easily and their complaint


can be solved.
Conclusion….
This project will be helpful for farmers to know more about
market information; will act as unique interface of schemes and
compensation. Through this they will be always in touch of new
technique and trends of farming. But some extends, new user
may feel some kind of stress about its use. Overall this system
is faster, secure and comfortable.
