Maruti Suzuki Sales Drop This Fiscal Year
•Maruti Suzuki is quite happy to be the top most car
maker in the domestic market till today. But there are
more concerns over the hanging future of its market
sales which it sees may witness an unprecedented fall
this Fiscal Year.

•The reasons attributed for Maruti Suzuki sales


drop are the increasing inflation and rates of fuel
and commodities. 
•He further said much against anyone’s prediction the
Maruti Suzuki has seen the growth of30% this year while
it was 23-24% in the last fiscal.

•However, the numbers for this finance year , he said, will


be 1.2million units at an average of 1,00,000 monthly
units which has been doing

•The company proposes to increase its capacity by 5 million annual


units from 2013 as plans for building two plants (2.5 lakh units from
each unit) are already on. In this process, the construction of the
first plant will be completed much earlier by three months (by Q3
of 2012) and the second plant will be over by March 2013.
2G spectrum scam
•A Delhi court on Saturday issued notice to the CBI, asking
it to file a detailed report on whether its probe in the 2G
spectrum case covers the aspect of national security as
raised by Janta Party chief Subramanian Swamy in his
private complaint seeking prosecution of former telecom
minister A Raja . 
•"Issue notice to the CBI to file its detailed report of the
investigation being carried out by it and whether it covers
the aspect of national security as raised by Subramanian
Swamy in the present case," special CBI judge Pradeep
Chaddah said. 

•Seeking CBI's response in the matter, the court posted


the hearing for February 23. 
Force10 to expand India development centre
•In India, apart from expanding its research centre, Force10 is
also thinking of deepening its market presence by developing
channel partners and turning the Indian operations to a
revenue centre. 

•With the global market for computer networking products and


solutions on the rebound, the $175 million revenue Force10 Networks
Inc. plans to expand its Indian development centre by adding
headcount, investing $10 million and also deepening its presence in
the domestic market. 

•"We plan to add around 100 high calibre engineers in the


embedded software space. We will complete investing $10 million in
our new centre here by September this year and, going by the
trends, the investment may go up," Prakash Sripathy, the company's
vice president, told IANS in an interview. 
Hackers penetrate Nasdaq computers: WSJ
report
• Computer hackers repeatedly entered the network of
the company that runs the Nasdaq stock market in the
past year, but the trading platform was not
compromised, the Wall Street Journal reported on
Friday. 
•The report cited people familiar with the matter as
saying law enforcement investigators were considering
a range of motives for the hacking, from financial gain
to theft of trade secrets to a national security threat to
damage the important stock exchange.

•The past decade of TV was about delivering the consumer a sit-back
experience and a push feed for the operator/service provider. Since
2000, we saw major changes in the world of TV as the global
economies were shifting from Analog to Digital Content. IPTV was
becoming a big buzz in the field of entertainment and since then, IPTV
market has continuously increased.

•Globally, IPTV represents an opportunity for telecommunication


companies looking for new revenue streams beyond data and voice
services. With the necessary broadband infrastructure in place and
availability of new video compression technology, there is an
opportunity for broadcasting live TV signals to a television set or a
PC via private broadband networks.
