Measures to protect the environment:

There are 7 types of pollution

• Atomic pollution
• Hydraulic pollution
• Soil pollution
• Noise pollution
• Visual pollution
• Light pollution
• Radioactive pollution
Soil Pollution
• The soil is considered polluted when it contains
substances that, introduced in it, alter its properties.
These substances harm the life of plants, animals and
man. They are called pollutants and can originate from
residues of all types of human activity.

• Soil pollution is currently a worldwide problem.

Causes
• The most visible cause of soil pollution is the direct
deposition of garbage and other human and animal
wastes, without any care.

• Industrial waste carried by air and water can also be

absorbed by the soil, causing pollution and serious health
problems for the population involved.
Causes

• The use of agricultural insecticides causes soil pollution

• Another cause of soil pollution, with very serious
consequences, is the indiscriminate use of highly toxic
insecticides and chemical fertilizers in crops, harming
humans, animals and plants.
