DEFINITION

A community is a social unit (a group of living things)


with commonality such as norms, religion, values, customs,
or identity. Communities may share a sense of place situated
in a given geographical area (e.g. a country, village, town, or
neighbourhood) or in virtual space through communication
platforms
Types of community

● Urban Community
● Rural Community
● Tribal Community
Urban community

Urban areas are very developed, meaning


there is a density of human structures such as
houses, commercial buildings, roads, bridges, and
railways. "Urban area" can refer to towns, cities,
and suburbs. An urban area includes the city itself,
as well as the surrounding areas.
Rural Community
In general, a rural area or countryside is
a geographic area that is located outside towns
and cities. Whatever is not urban is considered
rural." Typical rural areas have a low population
density and small settlements. Agricultural areas
are commonly rural, as are other types of areas
such as forests.
Tribal Community
A tribe is a group of people who live and
work together in a shared geographical area. A tribe
has a common culture, dialect and religion. A tribal
society is a group of tribes organized around
kinships. Tribes represent a part in social evolution
between bands and nations.
