 Time Controlling
When interpreting a speech, it is very
important to have the right timing control.
Its means that as interpreter we must saying
the right interpretation at the right time and
the right speed.

VOICE VOLUME
Voice volume refers to how loud or soft a
speaker’s voice level is.
When Interpreting a speech Voice Volume – Focus
On Three Things:
• Don’t be too loud for the given situation
• Don’t be too quiet for the given situation
• Vary your volume (within an appropriate range)
for the given situation

Memory
The interpreter needs a good short-term memory
to retain what he or she has just heard and a good
long-term memory to put the information into
context. Ability to concentrate is a factor as is the
ability to analyze and process what is heard.
 Process management
Process management is what an interpreter
does to accomplish analysis and composition
when there are so many competing tasks to
accomplish.

SIMULTANEOUS
Simultaneous interpreters process and
memorize the words that the source-
language speaker is saying now.
