AT SCHOOL

RESEARCH
INTRODUCTION
EUROSCHOOL AIROLI
The school building in built in a ‘L’ shaped. One
shape of L is till 6th floor and the other shape is
at 7th floor(where the ICSE grade 10 classes are
held). There are around 3,600 students in the
school. Around 103 classrooms excluding staff
rooms, admin rooms, principal mam’s room
and labs.
OUR SCHOOL’S ENERGY
SAVING POLICY
Our school has a policy for saving energy. There are
written policies present with both principal mam and
Prashant sir. They are enforcing a lot of measures and
are also taking classes on saving energy. There are
many posters put up in the school for awareness.
They state small but very important and impactful
things on how to switch off the lights when not
needed and more.
ENERGY SAVING METHODS BY
OUR SCHOOL DURING
LOCKDOWN
The school was shut down in the lockdown so there was no one in the building.
OS it meant no electricity and thus a lot of energy was saved. The minimum
monthly bills which came for electricity were paid like usual. Since there are no
students, the classrooms were shut, so no fans, light or smart boards were used
so the expenditure has been reduced. The Solar Panels have not been added yet
in our school, but these projects are uppermost for the future saving of energy
when all students are back. As a school in this society, we have to implement
these measures. Once we do, we can serve as a role model for others so that it
starts as a mass movement. As far as energy is concerned this is how well the
school has been doing for the pandemic.
IMPLEMENTATION OF
ENERGY SAVING METHODS
BY STUDENTS
Students are expected to implement these measures. It is our moral responsibility
to look after the only habitable space in this universe, which is our Earth. This is a
message which from the pre primary right up to the eldest children know. The
school keeps on reiterating these facts of conservation and careful usage and
stewardship of nature. You become responsible and morally accountable about the
global and carbon footprint. So each of us needs to be aware of the carbon
footprint and reduce it to the extent that is possible. Whenever students are in the
school, they can promote the saving energy and can take classes from smaller
grade to the higher grades; so that others can learn why we should save energy and
the benefits of it. Example, if you save energy, you can also reduce the costing and
implement the saved amount into any other great feature.
