A case on bad news

Robin Benincasa used to love adventures tourism and she was

happiest participating in adventures race. But one day she received
the bad news about the need of immediate knee surgery. She cried a
lot. She was angry on herself, her family, her doctor and her friends.
But she also knew that all these things are not going to help. What
could be the best she could do??

AM I getting a whole story ??

Business Communication
Do you know the whole story ?

Mr. Xavier used to teach in coaching center. Initial 6 months went very well with very
good student reviews and two salary hikes. One day manager informed that one of the
girl of your class has complained that “you have threatened her to slap in class if she
could not solve the question". However, Mr. Xavier said, I always motivate students and
have said this in a joking manner. Another week later there was a complain by same
student that Mr. Xavier have lack of knowledge and he doesn't teach in a good way. Mr.
Xavier argued that, only one student have issue with him, otherwise I always get good
feedback. Another 3 days later, the manager was asked to make a decision regarding Mr.
Xavier as these students were complaining about institute and threatened for taking
legal action.
In this situation how should the manager make the decision? Or investigate further to
understand the whole story
BOTH SIDES OF THE STORY
We are always told there are two sides to the story but
there is always more than what meets the eye. So, here are
some few things that one should take into consideration
before proceeding with their actions-
1. Reminding yourself you are hearing one perspective
2. Remain emotionally detached.
3. Refuse to take immediate action
4. Review the facts of the situation
5. Respond promptly with your feelings. Once you have the
facts in hand, take appropriate action.
