The professional whose profession I admire the most and wish to be

like her in future:

Afroza Akhter Tina
Senior Lecturer, Department of English, DIU
• After taking the interview of my respected mam Afroza Akhter Tina, I have known so many things that she
was a student of Jahangirnagar University. She had a very friendly environment with her teachers and friends
during her graduation level. All her teachers were very knowledgeable , humble and renown . They taught her
how to grow up with the courses, sharing knowledge with friends.

• She belongs to such a nice family where everyone is very much supportive and focused on their work. She is
very much sincere about time and all her responsibilities. She makes a good balance between personal and
professional life.

• During her student life she also gets distract sometime but for her distraction is also a part of learning
process. These distraction is actually related with mental relief for sometime. To get relief of that she likes to
travels, reading and spending time with family members.

• When I ask her about my limitations she simply says “we actually limit us, If we dream big then we have to
work hard to achieve that dream”. And it’s very much true for us. We should explore us like the way we want.
As I want to be a lecturer she gives me some valuable suggestions:

• Proper training before entering the profession.

• Enough education/knowledge in both theory and practically.

• Involving with extracurricular activities besides my study.

• Hard work.
For me actually, my respected Afroza Akhter Tina mam is an inspiration. She is very much supportive and friendly in

terms of teaching and helping students. I like her punctuality, helping nature and the way she talks with us most. She

is the person who actually share with us the every single details which we need to do in this time to become a

successful person in our job sectors. After listening her I actually inspire more in terms of doing extracurricular

activities, research, studying aboard and luckily I have got that opportunity. I also participated in some seminars and

also worked in some international program as well. I am trying to acquire those qualities which will be needed for my

career. Most importantly, I will always remember her valuable suggestion and try to follow.
My views on how to be a successful professional

For me, to be a successful professional the first thing that we need to fix a goal. We can share our goal with our
teacher or whom we want to do, a proper guideline and following that guideline is very much important. Then
need to hard work and keep focusing on that goal. Of course we have to remember that which things will be
related to our goal or profession. There can be sometime in which we may face trouble but we have to
overcome and keep going. If we want to be a successful professional we have to be very much knowledgeable
and practical according to our individual goal. The most important thing is we have to achieve the capacity to
make a proper balance, determination and time management.
