TOPIC
BLENDED • a style of education in which students
learn via electronic and online media as
LEARNING well as traditional face-to-face teaching.

• a software application for the

LMS administration, documentation, tracking,
reporting, and delivery of educational
(Learning courses, training programs,
Management System)  or learning and development programs
WHY GO FOR BLENDED LEARNING?
• Here are some of the key reasons why a blended learning approach is widely adopted by learning
managers and chief learning officers and is becoming a trend.
1. FLEXIBILITY
Blended learning classes offer flexibility for teachers in how they present material and for students in
the pace and variety of the learning approaches they experience.
2. EFFECTIVENESS
Studies have shown that because blended learning incorporates multiple methods of instruction from
an assortment of perspectives, it proves to have an effective learning outcome for most students
involved.
3. TEACHER EMPOWERMENT
By incorporating technology into classroom instruction, teachers are freed up to reach more students.
Teachers can move within the stations or activities to interact with individual or small groups of
students and check on progress. Data provided by educational technology programs also empowers
teachers with insights on each student’s learning so they can more effectively address gaps.
WHY GO FOR BLENDED LEARNING?
4. ENGAGEMENT
Because most students today are surrounded by technology in their everyday life, they
often engage more easily with material when technology is incorporated in
instructional settings. Additionally, students become empowered as they expand their
technological skills and competency with technology.
5. DIFFERENTIATION
Because blended learning incorporates a variety of instructional approaches, learning
activities can be tailored to address numerous learning styles. Additionally, high-
quality digital educational tools allow teachers to measure each student’s individual
learning level and provide activities and instruction that meet the child where they are
to give them appropriate lesson material.  (Sherri Walker, 2018)
WHY USE AN LMS?
1. CENTRALIZED LEARNING. LMS makes all types of training content, developmental
content, and performance content available to individuals 24/7 from any location with web
access.
2. TRACKING AND REPORTING FOR ENHANCED PERFORMANCE. The LMS
allows organizational users to view a required learning path, track progress against the
learning path, review records of success, and register for additional courses.
3. IMMEDIATE CAPABILITIES EVALUATION. The LMS allows users to be evaluated
prior to taking a course, while participating in the course, and upon course completion.
Employers can evaluate retention by periodically administering scheduled assessments via
the LMS. They can review the records of results to determine success levels and actual time
taken to complete each course and its components
WHY USE AN LMS?
• 4. EASY UPGRADATION OF CONTENT, PRODUCT INFORMATION TO MAINTAIN THE
FLOW OF E-LEARNING IN CORPORATE ORGANIZATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL
INSTITUTES. The LMS provides a central point for organizations to change product descriptions,
specifications, requirements, forms, and to allow easy uploading of new product or service information.
Users access the same training courses and the same evaluation materials. Users set predetermined
course completion dates and monitor the number of participants completing the course at any given
point in time. An LMS also allows employers to administer updates and evaluations online and assess
knowledge levels and abilities. In Institutions, professors can keep upgrading new content on the LMS,
for students to read, understand and proceed while learning.
• 5. LMS – SIMPLIFYING LEARNING PROCESSES. LMS is easy to use and is instructed very
well, a new user is able to use it easily. LMS accommodates various features- documentation and
administration, recording and tracking events and programs, classroom learning, to name a few. LMS is
therefore an affordable alternative for many learners because of its pragmatic and persuasive approach.
