AIM:
• To design a resort that offers a complete Tropical Experience
with minimal impact on environment.

INTRODUCTION TO THE TOPIC:

• An Eco-resort provides a “TROPICAL EXPERIENCE” to the visitors.
• Such a resort makes minimal impact on the environment without
compromising guest's comfort.
• The Eco-resort has to draw on and blend with the local natural and cultural
environments by employing principles of Environmentally Sustainable
Design(ESD).
• In very broad terms, the impact that the resort will make on the environment
can be derived from, Reduce,Reuse,and Recycle.

• Eco-resorts are an increasingly popular form of

accommodation.
• The findings revealed that ecotourists are primarily
attracted by the destination attributes such as (natural
attractions, wildlife, culture, traditions and lifestyles of the
local people, and Eco-activities) and location of the eco-
resorts
• It is important for eco-resort operators to establish a
positive balance among environmental impacts and
conservation benefits.
OBJECTIVE:
• Provide a recreational environment for
variety of facilities and functions.
• Respond to climatic and energy
consumption issues raised by present day
architecture through sustainable design.
• Cost Effective and functional design.
• Comfortable design which portrays a
environment of leisure and interaction with
nature.
SCOPE:
• The project provides a lot of area for site
planning and landscaping.
• The outcome of this project will provide an
excluded resort in an area that gets a great
amount of tourism. With providing jobs for
the local residents.
• It will also help boost the economy for local
businesses and restaurants in the area and
surrounding areas.
• A resort demands the formation of an
ambience which can provide people to relax.
Thus, this project gives an opportunity to deal
with visual, behavioural,technical,and
functional design aspect.
METHODOLOGY:
• The methodology would show how
the Eco-resort could be developed.
• This process will be divided into two
parts, a research phase and design
phase.
• The research phase will take all the
information that was collected in
the research and analysis processes
and then will be gathered to help
with the design phase.
LIMITATIONS:
SELECTION OF PROJECT • The project might not cover all the
details related to landscape design
though research will be done
according to architectural needs.
