What is cyberbullying?
> Bullying may be a practice that has been
around since the beginnings of human
history, but with the increasing access that
people have to technology a new medium
is now used by aggressors. Cyber bullying
is an act that involves using computers,
cell phones and other sorts of media to
consistently harass others.
What are the examples of
CYBERBULLYING?
> Harassment
> Impersonation
> Inappropriate Photographs
> Website Creation
> Video Shaming
What are the causes?
*individuals simply harass others
to entertain themselves and their
friends
*some i would bully only to boost
their egos
*Some do it because the people
around them are doing it as well.
*attention is what some people
want
*There is a chance they did not
gain it from their family; some are
suffering from a family conflict
*Most are starving for the
recognition of being powerful
figures.
What are the effects?
*Victims of cyberbullying often
find it difficult to feel safe.They
feel vulnerable and powerless.
*The sheer volume of people that
know about the bullying can lead to
intense feelings of humiliation.
*Targets of cyberbullying often
begin to doubt their worth and
*value.
Sometimes victims of
cyberbullying plot revenge and
engage in retaliation.
*They lose interest in things they
once enjoyed and spend less time
interacting with family and friends.
And, in some cases, depression
and thoughts of suicide can set in.
