Simultagnosia :
Inability to see more than one object at a
time, which often accompanies Balint’s
syndrome
Lesion : dorsal (occipitoparietal) pathway
Auditory Agnosia
• Disorders of auditory processing, with preserved perception of
auditory input

Non-verbal auditory agnosia :


Inability to recognize common objects by their sound

Pure word deafness and cortical deafness:


Verbal auditory language in sot recognized, non-verbal auditory input is
preserved as are other modalities of language function (including
reading comprehension)

Phonagnosia :
Loose the ability to recognize familiar voices
Tactile Agnosia
• The disorder of object recognition by touch

Anosognosia :
The unawareness of illness, refers to
patients who have had a massive right
hemisphere stroke
