What were the 1970s?
• The 1970s were a loud time. Alot of things had happended in the
1970s, like fighting for women‘s, gay‘s rights, POC rights. A lot of
other more classical things came with the 1970s, like fashion and
music.
The 1970s fashion
• You can define the fashion of this decade by colorful and
expressive. While all of the main stuff happended the fashion
became iconic and very popular. Bell bottom pants, flowing maxi
dresses, ponchos and frayed jeans dominated 1970s fashion.  Tie-
dye inspired by the 1960s “hippie” style continued to be worn,
while patchwork and plaid fabrics gained popularity.

Browne, Olivia Newton-John, Donna
Summer and Marvin Gaye. Disco rose and
with it, the sounds of Abba, the Bee Gees
and Donna Summer. On the rock front,
bands like the Rolling Stones, Van Halen,
Pink Floyd and Queen dominated airwaves.
