What is Professional Educator ?
• Professional educators are value-driven, guided by principles
passion and a purpose bigger than themselves.
• Professional educators are need analysts, competent to
diagnose and prescribe options for educational success and
significance.
Professional responsibility
• Teacher demonstrate professional responsibility and engage relevant
stakeholders to maximize children growth, development and learning.
• Educators demonstrate a commitment to professional standard , problem-
solving and decision-making.
• Professional responsibility is the area of legal practice that encompasses
the duties to act in a professional manner, obey the law, avoid conflicts of
interest and put the interests of clients ahead of their own interests.
• As an excellent role model, teacher have the responsibility to be honest,
hard-working, have enthusiasm for teaching and learning, be punctual and
display cooperation and compromise in the classroom.
Responsibilities To Children

• Emphasize on children’ welfare and safety more that other matters.


• Fair in dealing with every children’ without considering any factors such as
physical, mental, emotional, political, economic and social aspects.
• Treat personal information of children as confidential and only reveal to
those who have the right to acquire.
• To guide or reach any children in the class without any fee charge.
• To exemplify the proper way of dressing, speaking and behaviour.
• To improve and upgrade teacher professionalism by means of study, research,
and attend professional course, conference, meeting or seminar.

Treat children’s family nicely. For example, always welcome and greet
their presence to kindergarten by preparing good foods and comfortable
place.

Make sure teachers have and know children’s family background. This is
because, if anything happens to the children, teachers can easily contact
their family.

Teacher tells parents the right way to teach and guide their children at
home. If parents have any confusion, they can refer to the teachers as
their guidance.
• Teacher tells the parents to be a role model for their children. For example,
parents must show good behaviour in front of their children because healthy
parenting occurs when children is raised in a home full with love along with
clear boundaries, limits, rules and consequences.

• Plan activities or programs to foster relationships between teachers, families


and children. For example, family day, sports day and parenting-talk
program.

• Decrease or prevent conflict in family institution. Teachers teach and


practice good value towards children. Teachers teach children to speak good
words so that the children can apply it at home.

• Give a motivation to parents and teachers cannot give up on educating their


children.
