OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

 To find out the awareness of various


schemes of post office among the public.
 To find out the purpose of investments in
various Schemes of Post Office.
 To study the problems faced by the
depositors depositing in Post Officer
Deposit Schemes.
 To study the investors opinions regarding
tax benefits and Returns from Post Office
Deposit Schemes.
METHODOLOGY
 The study covers only Coimbatore
districts of Tamilnadu State. The area is
selected by taking into account the time
and cost.
 sample of 300 respondents from
Coimbatore District was chosen for the
study.
 The study is based on primary data that
has been collected using a structured
questionnaire.

devoted to the basic information
relating to respondents such as age,
education, marital status, income
level, sources of awareness,
different investment schemes.

of investment.

 The chi-square statistic is calculated by
finding the difference between each
observed and theoretical frequency for each
possible outcome, squaring them, dividing
each by the theoretical frequency, and
taking the sum of the results.

SUGGESTIONS
 awareness should be increased by
proper advertisement
 more organised
 interest rate should be increased
 new methods and procedures to
operate.
 Cumbersome procedure should be
reduced.

 Government should modify the existing
schemes.
 Loan against various certificates and
Patras must be given to the investors

 Investing our amount in Post Office
