• Definition of Descriptive Text

Descriptive text is a text which says what a person or athing is like. Its purpose is to describe and reveal
a particular person, place, or thing. As if the reader felt directly what is being expressed in the text.

identifies phenomenon (person, place, or thing) that will be described.

2. Description
describes parts, qualities, characteristics, etc

• Steps of Creating a Descriptive Text

1. determine a theme
2. determine a purpose
3. collect datas and do a direct observation of the subject that will be discussed

1. Use a simple present tense

I had a hamster named Rio. His fur is brown and white, with brown as predominant color. Rio really
like to play a round and a lot of drinking. Rio loves to eat kuwaci. When Rio was hungry, he will usually
silent.
