 About The Vaccine

 AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine is a viral vector vaccine

which uses a weakened adenovirus as a carrier to deliver the
SARS-CoV-2 antigen.

 The adenovirus has been modified so that it cannot replicate

(grow and multiply by making copies of itself) in human cells
and therefore cause any disease.

 When the vaccine is injected, it enters the host's cells which

then manufacture the spike protein.

• On January 28, The health ministry started to
vaccinate five person from health and welfare
ministry.
• From February 7, the whole nation was under the
coverage of vaccination program spread to all the
upozilla of the country.
• Initially over 55 years old people could get the
vaccine, Vaccination is now open for people above
40 years old.
• Within a few days, the number of vaccine
registration increased significantly.
 Detailed vaccine distribution plan
• As per the plan, a total of 13,82,47,000 people will
be vaccinated in five stages.
• Health workers, freedom fighters, law
enforcement agencies, military and other forces,
government officials, journalists, public
representatives, employees of city corporations
and municipalities, and religious leaders will get
the shots initially.
• A total of 1,72,80,939 people will be inoculated in
the two stages of the first phase.
• In the second phase, 1,72,80,000 people will be
vaccinated while 10,36,84,000 people in the third
and final phase under two stages.
