This game can be played in small groups (3-4 students). Each student gets a card set (this page has 2 sets).
Students take turns choosing a word card from the next pages and reading it to their group. Students choose
which spelling pattern they think the word has and they hold it up after a countdown (1…2…3… SHOWDOWN!).
The student who read the word card checks everyone’s answer. Repeat with a different student choosing
and reading a card!
