Good morning/afternoon/evening
(We say “Good night” when leaving a place, saying goodbye or going to bed)

Nice/Pleased/Glad to meet you.


Alternative Ways to Say, “How are you?”
- How’s it going?
Common responses: It’s going great. It’s going well. Not bad. Could be better.

- What’s Up? (it simply means hi!)


Common responses: Not much! Just hanging out right now and watching some TV. What are
you up to?

- How have you been?


Common responses: I’m good. I’ve been good. I’ve been alright. Pretty good and you?

Other answers: I’m OK.
