INTRODUCTION

• Welding is a materials joining process which produces coalescence of materials

by heating them suitable temperatures with or without the application of pressure
or by the application of pressure alone, and with or without the use of filler
material .
• Welding is used for making permanent joints.
• It is used in the manufacture of automobile bodies, aircraft frams, railway
wagons, machine frames, structural works, tanks, fumiture, boilers, general repair
work and ship buliding .
APPLICATION OF WELDING SHOP

• Welding is the process of joining two materials together by application of

heat through an external (electric arc or heaters) or internal entity
(friction). Many believe that welding is a term that is reserved for metals.
• However, that is not true as a material like plastic can also be welded.
Here we will discuss some of the most common weld techniques used in
the industry and where they are used.
