• Who observed the problem?
1. The particular rise in sales of Personal Vehicle, Commercial Vehicle and two wheelers were observed by
the Automobile sector of India.
2. Dealer body Federation of automobile Association report the increase in sale.

• The Observation were as follows :


1. The unprecedented growth cycle of tractor sales continues to grow to 25.5% on year during February led by
Mahindra and escorts.
2. Maruti Suzuki – 14470 units sold – 8 % growth
3. Hyundai - 51600 units sold - 29% growth
4. Tata – 27224 units sold - 119% growth highest in 9 yrs.

• What is the issue ?
1. The car sales rally continued in February as most of the brands speared ahead & posted consistent
gains.
2. The top carmakers Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai Motor & Tata Motors reported robust sales growth in the
domestic market last month as demand for personal mobility amid the Covid-19 pandemic continued
to drive the market .

• What is the fact ?


1. The top 5 carmakers have robust numbers but the Indian market is expected to dip to 27 lakh units by
the fiscal end in March.
2. The industry sold 23.90 lakh cars & SUVs so far in the fiscal.
3. Also, it is likely to sell another 3 lakh units in March and close the year at about 27 lakh units.

 Vehicle sales grew up in February 2021  After September 2020 when government
which was boosted by new product announced unlock phase 1 which led people

 Tata motor also has registered its highest  Customer planning to purchase /booked cars
sales in February 2021 after 9 years. since March 2020
When did the trouble found?
 Manufacturers Dispatch more vehicles to dealerships ahead of the festive season.
 But the sales continues to grow till February 2021 even it was none festive seasons.
 The market is expanding rapidly in high demand due to the preference of personal
mobility

sales growth in the domestic market in February as the demand for personal
mobility amid the COVID-19. • Sound and air pollution
• The country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) said
• Consumption of fuel
domestic sales increased 11.8% to 1,52,983 units last month, from 1,36,849
units in February 2020.
• Last month, sales company’s compact segment models, including Swift,
Celerio, Ignis, Baleno and Dzire, increased by 15.3% to 80,517 units, as against
69,828 cars in February last year.
• Similarly, utility vehicle dispatches to dealers, including Vitara Brezza, S-
Cross and Ertiga, rose 18.9% to 26,884 units, as compared to 22,604 units in
the year-earlier month.
CONCLUSION

The demand for personal mobility will surely surge due to customers necessity to guarantee personal
safety however the situation is not as uninviting over the long term, as covid-19 is measured and India
steps into the next normal, it is anticipated, that the mobility industry will come back to its prior power.
