4. Cook food thoroughly particularly chicken.

5. Keep food at safe temperature.


6. Use clean and safe water in washing foods
and cooking/eating utensils.

7. Protect food from flies.


Food borne
 Food borne diseases is caused by
microorganisms that thrive in raw or
uncooked food which are contaminated
due to unsanitary food handling or
improper storage.
The signs and symptoms of food borne diseases.

 Vomiting
 Diarrhea or bloody diarrhea
 Abdominal pain
 Fever
 Chills
 Headache and weakness
To prevent food borne diseases you must:

 Cook raw food properly.


 Wash thoroughly fruits and vegetables.
 Raw meat, poultry, seafood should be kept
away from other food.
 Wash hand properly with soap and water.
 Tables, utensils used in preparing food should
be cleaned properly.
