Opening
AB must be aware of assigned vessel’s movement plan
through radio or through vessel’s OE (operations engineer).
AB must be on the site/terminal/depot atleast 2-3hrs before
vessel’s discharging schedule.
AB must conduct line tracing for familiarization and
verification of product line from main manifold to shore tank.
Check and record ITG reading for height and temperature.
Check and record all the valve seal’s serial numbers of the
assigned tank discharge and by-pass lines.
If there will be any ex-ship invoices/simultaneous
withdrawal, check and record meter reading for tank truck.
Check the equipment to be used for sounding (UTI or
sounding Tape) for any possible wear or bending on the
measuring tape. Sounding tape should be checked for kinks
(“yupi”) and excessive wear at the clip that hold the bob to
the tape.
AB should conduct his own sounding using company’s
sounding tape if possible.
