Optical Character Recognition, or OCR as I’ll be
calling it for the rest of this presentation, lets
blind students scan books and other print to have

as the article calls it, meaning a generated voice.
How is OCR
Used?
The device is portable and can be attached
t o a c o m p u t e r o r s c a n n e r. T h e s t u d e n t s i m p l y
places the text they would like read on the
scanner and it will read it to them.
