Leadership Style
• Democratic leadership
• Autocratic leadership
• Laissez-faire leadership
• Transformational leadership
• Coaching leadership
• Bureaucratic leadership
• Transactional leadership
Leadership Style
• FedEx follows the unique leadership style with the
name of “The People First”.
• The factors that influence individual behavior in the
work place are: personality, perception, attitude, ability
and aptitude, conflict, stress, and change.
• The leadership style is of affiliative style, participative
style and democratic style which is combined. But
because FedEx has flat structure; the managers usually
give their subordinates delegated authorities. Also, to
delegate subordinates authorities, there must be some
level of trust in their workers.
Leadership Style
• TCS is the competitor of FedEx but it’s a private
organization. In which they follow the autocratic
leadership style and bureaucratic style. TCS makes his
own rules and policies and follows the one strict
procedure which employees follow in the organization.
• Managers monitor the employees closely,
micromanaging their performance without placing trust
or confidence that their employees can achieve their
goals without direct and constant supervision. These
types of managers believe that without this supervision,
employees will not operate successfully.
Suggestion
• FedEx totally focuses on the people this is not a
correct way because if your organization decision
totally rely on your employees and you neglect the
customer’s needs and wants than when your
employee start rest and act as a boss so your
organization reputation will slowly slowly down
and customer not accept the employee behavior
then customer move on. So if you want
organization work properly in a flow and efficiently
so you should keep some authority in your hand.
Suggestion

• TCS rely on totally its top level management so I

did not agree with this type of leadership. Top
level authority should involve employees with
themselves. When employee and authoritative
work with together and final decision is be top
authoritative after listening all the members so
organization work efficiently.
and Intrepretation

• At the end, we suggest TCS and FedEx follow the

laissez-faire leadership style and
transformational style with democratic style.
• Through these styles they can take innovation,
make decision making easy, motivate employees,
customer satisfy, make good working
environment between employees in the
organization.
