CHECK PRONOUN REFERENCE FOR AGREEMENT


After we check that the subject and object pronouns and the posse
ssives are used correctly, we should also check each of these pronoun
s and possessives for agreement.

USE BASIC ADJECTIVES AND ADVERBS CORRECTLY


Adjectives are used in place of adverbs, or adverbs are used in pl

ectives have only one job: they describe nouns or pronouns. Adverbs d

USE ADJECTIVES AFTER LINKING VERBS


Generally an adverb You must be careful if the verb is a

POSITION ADJECTIVES AND ADVERBS CORRECTLY


THE POSITION OF ADJECTIVES AND ADVERBS
Adjectives A one-word adjective comes before the noun it describes,
it does not come directly after.
Adverbs An adverbs can appear in many positions. It cannot be
used between a verb and its object.
Adjectives and adverbs can appear in incorrect positions in the written
expression section.
The two common errors are:
- The position of adjectives with the nouns they describe.
- The position of adverb with objects.
