COMPARISON
Degree of Comparison is a form of adjective (adjective) or adverb
(adverb) which states to compare.

There are three Degree of Comparison, namely: Comparative, Positive, Superlative


1. Comparative is when we compare 2 different people or
objects.
Ex: This task is Easier than the previous one
2. Positive is when comparing 2 people or the same thing.
Ex: The weather today is as hot as yesterday
3. Superlative is when comparing 3 different people or
objects.
Ex: I am the shortest girl among my friends.
EXERCISES:

1. Oxygen is bundanter than nitrogen.


2. The first journal article is the longest of the second article
3. The engineers hired this year have more experience than those hired
last year.
4. The business department is bigger of the departments in the
university.

CONJUNCTION
Conjunctions namely words used in sentences that
function to connect clauses or parts of sentences, either
in the form of arguments (opinions) or in the form of
events (events). Here are some examples of conjunctions:
Addition
and = dan
besides = selain itu Time
Comparison after = setelah
both…and… = baik… maupun…
as if = seolah-olah since = sejak
(untuk kalimat positif)
while = sementara itu before = sebelum
nor…neither… = baik… maupun…
instead of = daripada once = ketika
(untuk kalimat negatif)
conversely = sebaliknya as soon as = sesegera
either…or… = baik… maupun…
by contrast = kontrasnya previously = sebelumnya
(untuk kalimat positif dan negatif)
in fact = kenyataannya firstly = pertama-tama
further = lebih jauh
indeed = memang secondly = kedua
furthermore = lebih jauh lagi
at least = paling tidak at the same time = pada waktu yang sama
moreover = terlebih
on the other hand = sebaliknya lastly = terakhir
additionally = sebagai tambahan

Condition Consequence
if = jika of course = tentu saja

as long as = selama admittedly = terus terang, tak
even if = sekalipun dapat disangkal
unless = kecuali
EXERCISES :
