Terry’s Chocolate Orange is to be presented in a
square pyramid, in which the faces of the box are
to be inclined at 60° to the base.
The drawing over shows the projections of a Terry’s
Chocolate Orange.
(a) Draw the projections of the square pyramid
having the horizontal edge of the face that
contains the opening inclined at 60° to the V.P.
(b) Draw the traces of the plane which passes
through the face containing the opening.

1. All elements of a right cone make equal angles with the
base of the cone
2. All planes drawn tangential to a right cone make this
same angle with the horizontal plane
3. A 60° right cone having its base resting on the horizontal
plane is drawn. Any plane tangential to this cone makes
a 60° “dihedral angle” with the H.P.
