TOPIC
3D PRINTING

WHAT IS 3D PRINTING

 3D printing is a form of additive manufacturing
where a three dimensional is created by laying down
successive layers of materials.

 It is also known as additive manufacturing.

 It is a method of converting a virtual 3d model into a

physical object.
History of 3d printing

 Charles Hull develop the first 3d
printer in 1984 and named this
technique as Stereo lithograpy.

And in (2005) Z Corp launched his first

high color definition 3d printer
Different technology in 3d printing

 Stereo lithography (SLA)

 Digital Light Processing (DLP)

 Fused deposition modeling (FDM)

 Selective Laser Sintering (SLS)

APPLICATION

 Product development

 Architecture

 Medical

  Food industry
Effects of 3d printing

 Space exploration:
Making spare part on the fly
.Cheaper and more efficient space exploration.

 Social change:
Conventional relationship between
the home and workplace might get further eroded.
Conclusion

 The world is forever changing with the help of 3D
printing. The use of 3D printing for medicinal
purposes today is beyond astonishing but what the
future holds is unknown, however It is certain that
additive layer manufacturing will be a large
corporate in solving our problems. 3D printing really
is limitless and only the surface has been scratched,
there is still much more to be uncovered.
