2- Xylazine (0.3 mg/kg)/

3- Injectable GA: Induction

Ketamine Hcl 3.5 mg/kg

3- Endotracheal intubation
4- Inhalation GA: Maintenance

Halothane/ Isoflurane/ Sevoflurane

Anesthetic dosage calculation
Dose

- is the amount of drug taken at any one time.

• R.D

R.D. (ml) = I.D. (mg) X B.wt (kg) / Conc. (mg/ml)

Example: calculate the dose of xylazine 2% for a
camel weighting 300 kg.
Anesthetic drug dilution
• Definition

Making weaker sol. From stock sol.

• Equation

C1 x V1 = C2 x V2
