-ELECTRICITY-
8th Lesson of Third Quarter
Dear Lord and Father of all,
Thank you for today.
Thank you for ways in which You provide for us all.
For your protection and love we thank you.
Help us to focus our hearts and minds
Now on what we are about to learn.
Inspire us by Your Holy Spirit as we listen and write.
Guide us by Your eternal light
As we discover more about the world around us.

We ask all this in the name of Jesus,

our Lord and Savior.
AMEN.
i ew ASYNCHRONOUS TASK 7

Define Electricity and charges;
Enumerate and understand the types of charges
and its processes;
Realize the importance of grounding in an
appliances circuit; and

What is ELECTRIC CHARGE?

They are carried

by the electrons
and protons within an
atom
Charges can be explained by subatomic particles.
What are the subatomic particles?
What do you
mean by
CHARGED
OBJECTS?

How about the

NEUTRAL
OBJECTS?
CHARGED OBJECTS
have an imbalance of charge

NEUTRAL OBJECTS
have a balance of charge
Behave
AT8
How do these
charges behave?
SYNCHRONOUS TASK 8
OPEN CAM-EXPERIMENT TIME!
Get a comb/cloth & a piece of paper.
Turn-off your fan.
Rub the comb to your hair/cloth many times.
Put the comb nearer the piece of paper.

What happens to the paper?

Take a picture of what you did.
Send it to our GC.

When technologies operated by
electricity is misused, Electricity is one
of the fatal issues.
For example, a danger of having short
circuits when using an octopus
connection is high
How can we protect ourselves
and our properties from
these inevitable
circumstances?
There are various safety
measures applied in
electrical system to avoid
unwanted consequences of
overload electricity and
other electrical surface. One
of which is….

“ELECTRICAL GROUNDING”
Electrical grounding or
earthing is a process wherein
an electrical conductor is
placed to the ground to
remove excess flow of
electricity from a certain
electrical appliance or source.
In grounding, another
line of wire is connected
to the ground that serves
as another part for
the current to flow in an
event of a short circuit
Electrical grounds are
connected to the ground
GROUNDING
using metal as conductor
of electricity
There is a copper metal
driven into the ground
that serves as the ground
All connections inside your
home are connected to
this copper metal
